Season Schedule
1st - 5th Grades: November 1, 2023 - January 28, 2024
6th - 12th Grades: November 14, 2023 - March 4, 2024
Registration Cost
1st/2nd Grade Clinic - $95.00 per player
Boys/Girls Leagues (2nd - 5th Grade) - $125.00 per player
Boys/Girls Leagues (6th Grade and Up) - $145.00 per player
Notice to Players Trying Out for HZRPC Travel Basketball Teams
ANY PLAYER TRYING OUT FOR, OR PLAYING IN, ANY TRAVEL LEAGUE MUST PROVIDE NOTIFICATION WHEN REGISTERING FOR REC. LEAGUE BASKBETBALL.
Generally, Travel team players fall into two categories with regards to Rec. League Basketball:
A. those that try out for a Travel team but WILL NOT play Rec. League Basketball if they make the Travel team; or
B. those that try out for a Travel team, but WILL play Rec. League Basketball even if they make the Travel team.
IF you fall into category "A" listed above (i.e. you WILL NOT play Rec. League Basketball if you make a HZRPC Travel Team), you are advised to wait until after Travel team tryouts and cuts have been made until you sign up for Rec. League Basketball. HZRPC Boys and Girls Travel team tryouts and cuts are scheduled to be completed by October 3, 2022. This will allow minimally a 5-day period for players that do not make the Travel team to register for Rec. League Basketball before the end of the registration period on October 11, 2023.
If you fall into category "B" above and intend to play Rec. League Basketball even if you make Travel team roster, then you are encouraged to sign up for Rec. League Basketball any time prior to October 11, 2023.
Notice to Players Trying Out for Any ADVANCED LEVEL Basketball Teams (i.e. 8th Grade, Junior Varstiy or Varsity)
ANY PLAYER TRYING OUT FOR, OR PLAYING IN, ANY ADVANCED LEAGUE MUST PROVIDE NOTIFICATION WHEN REGISTERING FOR REC. LEAGUE BASKETBALL.
Typically tryouts for the Advanced Level teams do not occur until well after the Rec. League Basketball registration period has closed. As such, we encourage all players trying out for these teams that wish to play Rec. League Basketball (in the event they do not make the Advanced Level team) to register for Rec. League Basketball prior to October 11, 2023. If you make an Advanced Level team and do not wish to continue playing Rec. League Basketball, we will refund your registration fee, less any applicable credit card transaction fees incurred by the program. No late registrations will be held for those players that do not make an Advanced Level team and fail to register for Rec. League Basketball prior to October 11, 2023 deadline.
BE ADVISED: Players that make any High School Varsity team are NOT eligible to play Rec. League Basketball and will be refunded their registration fees, less any applicable credit card transaction fees incurred by the program. Players that make any 8th Grade team or Junior Varsity team ARE eligible to play Rec. League Basketball.
Late Registrations & Late Fees
Due to limited gym time and the ever growing size of the Rec Basketball program, registering during the enrollment window (now through October 11, 2023) is the only way for your child to be guaranteed a spot in the program.
Any attempt to register after October 11, 2023 is at the sole discretion of the Rec Basketball commissioner.
Registrations permitted after October 11, 2023 are considered Late Registrations and are subject to a $20.00 late fee and potential waitlisting.

The following leagues have reached their maximum capacity and are no longer accepting registrations:

Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued after practices begin. Any canceled registrations, or requests for refunds, are subject to a $30.00 league processing fee and any applicable credit card/registration service processing fees.

1st/2nd Grade Coed Clinic ( for 1st year players ONLY)
2nd/3rd Grade Boys and Girls Leagues ( for 2nd graders that have previously played Clinic, and all 3rd graders)
4th/5th Grade Boys and Girls Leagues
6th/7th Grade Boys and Girls Leagues
8th Grade and Older Girls League
8th/9th Grade Boys League
10th-12th Grade Boys League
