General Information

The Hereford Recreation Field Hockey program is available to players who will be attending K thru 8th grade during the Fall season. 9th grade players who are not playing on a high school team are also eligible. Registration ususally takes place in May and June of each year. Teams will be filled by order of paid registrations received. Waiting lists will be formed, but this will not guarantee team placement.

The season runs from mid-August through early November.

Grades K-2 practice once a week and Saturdays with occasional "play days" with other programs on Saturdays. Grades K-2 will be run in a clinic format and should not order a uniform. They will receive a t-shirt as part of their registration fee.

Grades 3-9 practice twice per week with games generally once per week on Sundays. Only grades 5-8 are evaluated and divided into equal teams.

Home games and practices will be held at Genesee Valley. Away games will require travel to other areas of Baltimore County, Harford County, Carroll County and Howard County. Practice days and times are contingent on the availability of coaches and field space.

We are part of the Maryland Youth Field Hockey League.

Clinic Grades K-2
We supply: T-Shirt only.
You supply: Stick, mouth guard, shin guards and eye protection (goggles)

Grades 3-9
We supply: Nothing
You supply: Stick, mouth guard, shin guards, eye protection (goggles) and uniform (jersey, skirt and compression shorts)

Hereford Field Hockey will provide the additional equipment necessary for goaltenders.

Registration Cost

Clinic Grades K-2: $157.00 per player
Grades 3-8: $182.00 per player
Grade 9: No cost for waitlist. $182.00 per player, once registered

$30 per participant with a $10 discount for siblings.
